South Africa needs more international partnerships which will enable NGOs, the private sector and government scale up NCD interventions.The rest of the SADC is looking to South Africa for guidance of NCDs programme strategies. We invite any organisation in the developed world to provide models of good practice in Patient Education, Support Groups, Research and Advocacy.

"Welcome! We would like to hear more about why you are interested in public health." To answer this question: I am interested in the socioeconomic backgrounds of particular groups disproportionately effected by obesity. I want to be involved with statistically gathering the evidence of overwegith populations by zip code (using GIS technology?) and research the link between institutional and corporate food systems and the worldwide obesity epidemic.

Yes, that is a snowy owl; it's latin name was nyctea scandiaca, but for some reason, Those In Charge recently changed its name to bubo scandiacus, a vastly inferior name IMHO.
