Passing health reform was a challenge, but implementation will be the hard part. Thankfully, there are a number of sites springing up to keep us up-to-date on how implementation is progressing. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded the Hirsh Health Law and Policy Program of the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services to host an excellent website-healthreformgps.org.
Stakeholders & anyone who advocated as a private citizen for health reform will need to continue being vigilant about what comes out of HHS that may not reflect the spirit/letter of the law or simply does not reflect the facts/needs in our communities. Health Reform GPS is a good place to keep an eye on developments & step up to contact your elected officials to educate them about concerns that arise as implementation moves forward.
