- The Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron's Center for Comunity Health Improvement, in response to the nation's need for a collaborative and shared approach to community health, is leading the effort to usher in a new health culture in the Akron region by developing an Accountable Care Community (ACC), a new health model which aims to foster collaborations borne of shared responsibility among various sectors in order to transform health in Northeast Ohio.
