Description of your work (what you do, what your organization/project does...)
Michaela is GYCA's Program Associate, joining GYCA in the fall of 2015 from Girls Inc., New York-based organisation that focuses on youth development and after-school education, where she developed and ran programming around youth leadership and community action, college/career readiness and community health (including sexual and reproductive health). Michaela has significant experience in community-based local programming for young people, with a focus in the areas of girls’ education and leadership development. Michaela holds a Bachelor’s degree in sociology and is a passionate gender and rights advocate.
