Description of your work (what you do, what your organization/project does...)
Duncan M Matheka is a medical student, researcher and NCD Activist at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Medical Physiology from the same institution. He coordinates the students’ Journal Club, chairs Medical Students against AIDS (MESA) and the Kenyan Chapter of Young Professionals Chronic Disease Network (YP-CDN).
The Kenyan chapter of YP-CDN, based at the University of Nairobi, addresses NCDs by engaging the youth in community outreach programs (school health talks, free screening medical camps, health education seminars at social gatherings), research activities and advocacy.
