Description of your work (what you do, what your organization/project does...)
Athena Ramos is currently the Program Coordinator for the Center for Reducing Health Dis¬parities at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and an adjunct faculty member at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska.

In her role as Program Coordinator, Athena serves as an administrator for the Center and principal investigator for some community health education programs including one for a Latino tobacco outreach and a girls obesity prevention program. She is an experienced administrator with proven ability to develop and implement social and human service programs with culturally diverse populations. She has over 10 years of experience in management operations, public relations, strategic planning, and programming. Furthermore, she also is a sought after speaker for various workshops on health disparities, cultural competency, and Latino health issues.
