Health IT workforce funding programs up and running

There was some good news for community colleges recently with $84 million funding from HHS for health IT workforce development. It is good to see that the Obama administration sees community colleges as a place for job training & preparation or a placed to retool for changes that people see coming to their current area of employment. 

 

We have a lot more to work on to get money where it should be for those who are not going into professional work.   Good to see funding going to the full spectrum of the HIT workforce and not only professionals.
