It Is Easier To Become Pregnant Than You Think

A sexually active teen who does not use a contraceptive has a 90% chance of becoming pregnant within a year.  On average you have a 5% chance of becoming pregnant every time you have unprotected sex.  In general, there is a 20-25% chance of becoming pregnant in a month, and a 85% of chance of becoming pregnant in a year if you are sexually active and do not use a contraceptive.

 

The US has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates among industrialized nations.  We need start teaching our children how to protect themselves, not only from pregnancy, but from diseases like cervical cancer.

Birth Control Is Not Fool-Proof
