AIDS at 30: What has made an impression on you?

The AIDS epidemic is 30 years old.  If you remember Rock Hudson's "I'm gay & I have AIDS" announcement or Ryan White being kicked out of middle school for being HIV postive, you've lived to see the good and bad side public health.
