The Truth About Health Reform and What It Will Mean to You
Saturday, June 26, 2010
11:00 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Mechanics Institute, 57 Post Street, San Francisco
Now that a health reform package has passed and is law, many of us are confused: What does the legislation really provide? What are the significant measures for us and when do they take place? Health care for women, older Americans, public health and Californians, will be emphasized.
Ellen Shaffer, PhD and co-director of the Center for Policy Analysis/EQUAL Health Care will make this understandable for us. Ellen has been a leader in health care reform, as an advocate for single payer and then a leader for the realities possible in the federal program. Her ability to make the complex understandable has made her a favorite at OWL SF.
We are pleased to be joined in this presentation by Herb Schultz, the new Regional Director of the Department of Health and Human Services (Region IX)
